{"id":1318,"date":"2011-04-09T09:03:58","date_gmt":"2011-04-09T13:03:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/linuxhostingsupport.net\/blog\/?p=1318"},"modified":"2013-03-20T08:43:56","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T12:43:56","slug":"unable-to-unsuspend-a-domain-in-plesk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/linuxhostingsupport.net\/blog\/unable-to-unsuspend-a-domain-in-plesk","title":{"rendered":"Unable to unsuspend a domain in Plesk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you perform a Plesk upgrade, you may notice you are unable to unsuspend a domain from the Plesk control panel resulting in the following message:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Warning: The domain is still suspended for the following reason: <\/span><\/pre>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Domain is temporarily suspended for backing up or restoring.<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Looking at the message, <strong>it appears that a backup process is running for the domain on the Plesk server but it is not<\/strong>, thus making things look complicated. In such a case, unsuspend the domain on the Plesk server from shell.<\/p>\n<p>SSH to the server as root and execute:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"># \/usr\/local\/psa\/bin\/domain -u domain.tld -status enabled<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This will un-suspend\/enable the domain.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes a &#8220;<strong>Segmentation fault<\/strong>&#8221; message appears while unsuspending the domain via SSH. It indicates that the Plesk upgrade didn&#8217;t go through successfully and there is a problem with plesk binaries. You now need to install the Plesk base packages again from Plesk &#8211;&gt; Updates, section.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the update is performed, reconfigure the domain:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"># \/usr\/local\/psa\/admin\/sbin\/websrvmng --reconfigure-vhost \\\r\n\u00a0--vhost-name=domain.tld<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>and enable it<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<pre><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"># \/usr\/local\/psa\/bin\/domain -u domain.tld -status enabled<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This will un-suspend the domain and will leave you with a message <strong>&#8220;Object successfully enabled&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you perform a Plesk upgrade, you may notice you are unable to unsuspend a domain from the Plesk control panel resulting in the following message:<\/p>\n<p>Warning: The domain is still suspended for the following reason:<br \/>\nDomain is temporarily suspended for backing up or restoring.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the message, it appears that a backup process is running for the domain on the Plesk server but it is not, thus making things look complicated.
