To fix the issue, restart your mail service first i.e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>service exim restart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>then, start the Mailscanner executing the following command:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\/usr\/mailscanner\/bin\/check_mailscanner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If it displays any PIDs, kill them and execute the command again.
